Greetings all,
No, this isn't a review, so don't worry, i'll not bore you.
I managed to get my hands on a retail version of Vietcong 2 yesterday. While true, this game is a few years old now, I still never had a chance to aquire a copy & after how much I loved the original Vietcong and the expansion that came a little later, I was very much looking forward to playing Vietcong 2.
Well, I lasted all of around 15 minutes before I gave up on the game. Simply too generic, not to mention it's a massive system hog & for what you get, it's obvious that the games engine is highly outdated and not optimized. I thought the cinematics were decent enough, but the game itself was a really big let down.
Good thing I only spent $5 on the game, but I wish I could get even that back. I wish they would make a high quality game based around the Vietnam war. Somethign with next gen graphics & sound. Oh, & it has to have Gibs and swearing & "working girls" or it'll not be authentic.
Well here's to hoping...
