Source SDK can somehow view vtf model files only in certain dircetory. However, I have some vtf files that are beyond my Steam folder. Is there are any other way, or any method to view those vtf files?

Download program called VTFEdit. You can view them and then import/export them. You can export BMP's, TGA's, DDS's or JPG's and edit them in Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop.

Have fun skinning.

Thx. That how about the 3D model? Is there any programme?

In Source SDK, Model Viewer. But then all models must be in hl2/models directory, you can't view them from everywhere.

Ehhh. That's where the pain. The files I need aren't in the steam models directory. I guess there is some other programme, right?
Or is there any means whereby I can import the file into that directory?

No there is not. Just put them to Half-Life 2 directory, otherwise it is impossible.

And VTF files are not models, they are textures. Model files are MDL's, with vertex and physics files.

VTF = Valve Texture File
MDL = Model

Put the models in the steam folder, then.
