Vin Diesel is Hitman!!! Agent 47!!!

Thats AWFUL news.

Hitman should be silent and snake like, not some huge beef.

To restrain myself from flaming...
Vin...is uh...a decent actor...
But imo, he looks nothing like 47, except that he's bald.
Horrible decision for the role.

wow, Fox f*cked up again... somehow i'm not the least bit surprised
maybe they just missed the point of the games
my guess is this will be a crappy action fest with no real stealth or sense of tension

And wasn't the Xmen 3 script leaked? From what I read over at ain't it cool....the script was awful. Might be fake though, better be, actually. Xmen 1 and 2 are awesome.

Yeah, exactly. Vin is the worst choice ever.

Haha, my friend was saying today that Wolverine does nothing except have sex with Storm and that loads of people die. :smoking:

Okay, so ya'll have pretty much decided that Vin is a terrible choice for 47. Who would have been a GOOD choice?

Thats about it :p

In an ideal situation, some guy who looks the part - he doesn't necessarily have to be a fantastic spoken actor, since 47 rarely says much (but I'll assume that's going to change dramatically for the film, sigh).

Okay, so you'd want an unknown who looked the part.

exactly, i mean really, how much acting ability does the person need?

which is why they picked vin diesel.... ;)

Yes. That, or Jason Statham, who I think would work quite well.

GAMES - GAMES

MOVIES - MOVIES

*Begins to draw line.

That is how it should be. Not games come movies or vice versa :(

vin diesel make better roles of criminal and sutff like that

and 47 is more serious person and decent considering is a assasin, but in personality I define it as someone whit "class" and if the mobie keeps the same good style of the series maybe will be good

but sure it will be all action and explosions and rappers and pimp my ride and all that stuff that appear in action movies nowadays

Jason would be great for this part, but i think that Vin could pull it off.

If he loses a lot of weight and works towards a more slim, sleek build, then yes he could. He's got a perfect whispered voice for the part.

Actually vin diesel is rather well spoken, and quite a verbal maestro compared to such atrocities such as the governator, stallone, or norris-man.

[SNICKER]I guess the movie has to do with some kind of virus that leaks into the public.[/SNICKER]

Did they forget there already was a Hitman movie? It was called Leon and this movie will never live up the the quality that Leon was, especially if "Meathead" Deezul is playing 47.

Stupid Hollywood.

They need somebody that dosn't look bad ass, I mean look at 47, he loos like a normal man but he is the badest mother fukker.

And lest face it, he is to big for the role.

Leon was not a hitman movie, it was much much more. This is a summer hollywood action flick, don't group entertainment popcorn sellers in with cinama art.

Agreed. I guess I am saying that for what "Hitman" elements there were in Leon, this movie won't compare. For instance the scene where he emerges from the shadows and slides the knife around fatty's neck. Love that movie.

Kingsly is too old though. I'd like to see Jeremy Irons in it though. Just for the point of Jeremy Irons kicks ass. And Alan Rickman too, or Marvin the Paranoid Android

An english actor might bring class to the role in Hollywood's eyes (for some reason they think Briton == Villain). Vin probably couldn't act to save his like going on what I've seen so far.

The problem is I can't think of anyone other than transporter guy or Diesel. Surely there's a less well-known actor who would be much better in the role. I'll be happy so long as they keep him an elegant, quiet assassin of few words and great finesse. Like a hitman should be: silent and swift.

yeah he would have been a good choice.
oh well...it doesn't matter because if people are going to compare the game to the movie, it never really matches up honestly.

I can picture a very cold, brooding, very menacing and scary portrayal of agent 47 in a movie....
And in that role i see the masterful Sir Ben Kingsley.

I get shivers thinking about it.

Jason Statham.

Diesel is too over-the-top, and too much of a kick-ass-first-ask-questions-later kind of guy to actually fit 47's character.

Wonder if Bruckheimer and his bag of explosions and fast cars is going to produce this debacle.

I agree. Kingsley doesn't look very old and him in 47's show would just be perfect.
