Is the self-imposed rating system for video games enough? Is the ESRB working? What is the relevance of a rating system for video games if the powers that be will black-list certain games because of their graphic content?

No, of course it's not working. Senator Lieberman and Dr. Walsh just had their latest "Video Game Report Card" news conference. Underage kids can buy the most violent games half the time. I just successfully sued Best Buy and compelled them to institute a new nationwide policy. They will now ID anyone appearing to be 21 or younger to make sure no one under 17 buys M-rated games. This is a huge development. You really need to report that. It is an industry first.

these events actually took place cos i actually do and have been playing violent games all my life and its very obvious and apparant that indeed, bruce willis gunning terrorists down in pointless slow motion dives across broken glass didn't inspire me to do so and neither did vinnie jones crushing gazzas gonads on live television.....and neither did watching arnie wrack up the body count in total recall with his 8 incher

the people who sue these places actually have NO true knowledge of what they are sueing and probably wouldn't even be able to NAME the characters in certain violent games...

but hey...if it isn't movies, its video games and if it isn't video games, its my ass...

turn onto a news channel and you will see images that are much more disturbingly violent than anything you will see in video games or films and its all real...yet these dick jockeys turn their line of fire onto forms of entertainment which actually keep us off the streets, torturing people with teeth and men...
