Hey,

Today I scanned my computer with Housecall online scanner and it found a trojan keylogger on my PC named TROJ_SCKEYLOG.O.

This is the info I found about it http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/ent...il.php?id=66002&VName=TROJ_SCKEYLOG.O&VSect=O

Its called different on my PC tho , its called hack4lifeee

But now the problem is that I can't get rid of it, I followed the instructions on that site, but the virus just came back after I rebooted. And with the Housecall scanner I cant remove it either , cause it says 'file is in use' when I try to delete it.

And I can't seem to find the file either in my system32 folder when I manually look for it.

So does anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of this?

Make sure you've got show hidden/protected files on

Check the registry, its usually a few lines in there thats loading it automatically (so you can't delete it)

check services incase

check add/remove, funnily enough some of these actually have an uninstaller lol

Boot into safemode, or run in DOS and delete it via that before booting into windows

well depends, if your HDD is formatted with FAT32, it wont be a problem, if not its a bit more difficult, though you could always just try the commandline, though that'll probably come under the same can't delete thing your getting in windows.

There's a program called, uhh. dr.delete, I think, that will delete files on reboot. I've used it a couple times, it works okay.

Thanks, that program worked. :)

press F8 when starting your computer, do the command prompt one, go to the place where the file is by typing:

cd %1/%2/%3 (note: replace the %1,2,3 with the actual path to where the file is)

then when you're in the folder type in:
del (nameoffile) press enter and it should be gone.
