So I just got Vista Ultimate. Very nice IMO! I love this cool dreamscape extra they just released. A video for my desktop is pretty neat, especially some of the ones they released with the content pack.

Any of you who have Vista, what do you think bout it? Got any cool video's that I should place as my background?
 
got it myself, including dreamscape :D

looks cool for a while, but for work it's just too irritating to have something moving on the screen all the time.
 
Well they did just release a content pack, and one looks really nice. It reminds me of a lava lamp. They should get something similar to visualisations for the desktop.
 
Can you guys help me with Dreamscape link? I can't find the damn thing. lol.

I remember back with Windows 98 I messed with ?Active desktop I think. Made a html background that played videos.

I'm sure this is much smoother though. hah
Sounds great as long as it is calm and not distracting.

Ah 98. I used to drag street fighter and other GIFs onto my desktop and have a full out brawl going.



I dunno what this dreamscare stuff is. What's with you telling us this without providing a link?

Meh screw it it's Ultimate only. Lame junk for MS ass-kissers. :p
 
Err, DreamScene ? How could so many of you get it wrong ?
 
Prolly not a good idea to have Anal Princess 3 running as your wallpaper though :rolleyes:

OK lemme ask you in other words: This dreamscape crap comes with Vista Ultimate, and or you can only run it with ultimate and not premium?
 
It's supposed to be for Ulitmate only, but it can be made to work on other versions...

It's referred to as both actually. usually DreamScene, but i've seen it refered to DreamScape quite a few times.

Free add-on for ultimate, but as Hippy said it has been altered to work with other versions by various... "groups".

Prolly not a good idea to have Anal Princess 3 running as your wallpaper though

Just a note, but DreamScene is actually still in beta (or rather, listed as "preview")

No idea what's going on with the whole Ultimate Extra's actually. I'm going to be visiting Microsoft in October, so I'm going to nag those guys to see whats up.
 
Well, yes, I actually meant it just hasn't been done yet (a friend of mine looked really hard and couldn't find anything). Is there a Vista version of Softice?

DeskScapes is from StarDock, it's a plugin for DreamScene, that plays .dream files. They have some pretty cool ones!

It cannot be made to work with non-Ulitimate versions, as far as I know.

I know of DeskScape (I have it). However I guess what I got confused about when I was reading up on it was sometimes when people refer to DeskScape + DreamScene they call it DreamScape. So I took it was DreamScene could also be called DreamScape. Doesn't really matter.

I want porno animated wallpaper, and to make my own animated wall papers. How cheap can I get something like that for?


Someone said something about using a GIF as a wall paper? Can anyone do this with XP?

Yeah, but that is just a JPG of it. The actual GIF he is talking about animates.


That gave me an idea of a poor mans dreamscape. One of those images that looks like it's moving but it's not. Circles turning. I just put it as my desktop and my eyes are going bananas.

I'm afraid I might hypnotize myself.
