I reccomend playing the games in this order:

Portal (you'll smirk when you see Aperture Science mentioned in EP2)
Episode Two
Team Fortess 2 (if not merely because people discuss spoilers for the other two on it sometimes)

I played the games in the a different order though (EP2 first, TF2 second, and Portal third)

I was going to go Ep. 2, Portal, TF2, but the more I hear about Portal the more I'm reconsidering that.

I played TF2(beta) first, then Ep. 2, then Portal. Although I think starting with Portal first might be good idea.
