I would like to thank any Gods (that care) for steam FINALLY working! It's been such a long past couple of days....ahhhhh smell the fresh air. Today is a good day. :bounce:

Instead of all of the steam bashing, let's hear some good stories like mine where steam stopped being a steaming pile and actually started to work! Share the positive feelings with our less fourtunate brethren so that they too may have hope for the future.

steam worked for me for the last few months, and even the non-beta always works for me, never had any problems. the people that complained about steam, werent really thinkin about the situation. if u got like 50,000 ppl downloading the same thing, its gonna get bogged down.

i'm downloading dod now, cs and hl work, but the mods like ns and ts don't work. i put their folder in the hl folder in steam, their icons show up in steam game section as a third party game, but when i want to join their server, it says the game is unavailable. however i can create server

i LOVE the idea for steam! its great, in-game chat, finds servers, downloads updates and shit, replaces the console, in-game options, a few problems though, there needs to be a button i can hit to force it to convert my games, because i tried and steam crashed, and now i cant do it again, or maybe another piece of software to do it, also this bothers the **** out of me, from the www.steampowered.com FAQ, it said something like they would be charging a monthly fee for steam in order to maintain the servers, apparently their faq portion of the site is down, otherwise i would give you a direct quote

It's always worked for me. Downloaded Half Life the first day, no problem at all.

works till i open a game, then the game either never brings up the menu and only has the image which is usually behind the menus, or i can see menus, but when joining a game it will freeze..

in task manager the game will show a "not responding" status when it freezes. lame.
