WAILING Fan in Gigabyte 6600GT

This bugger cools swell for a stock fan, when I push it it holds up, but my god can it wail at times. Is there any way to quiet it? Aside from switching fans on the card, because it's a sturdy and effective cooler and I'd like to keep it :d

i dotn think its possible to quiet it while not getting a new one...how loud is it? compare it to something

Hit it with a hammer a few times, BUT dont let the smoke out of it! the smoke is what makes it work..

Same thing happened to me with my 4200 128 MB. I bought a 9800 Pro and hate it. I was due for a new card anyway. ;(
