Want to set up a LAN game

Hey all, I'm looking to set up a LAN game of GR:AW with my bro. I was wondering if it's possible that I could use a crossover cable for this task? Or do I have to actually get all the stuff to set up a LAN? Or is there possibly some other way?

I'm trying to keep this cheap, so the least costly way would be the best. Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe there are some programs for crossover cable gameplay, I don't know.

yes, a cross over cable is fine to play a game lan with 2 computers.
