Has anyone played this game? it's been released in the States on February 19th and in Europe on March 23rd. from what I've read it sounds interesting although I am still busy with C&C3 in the strategy department.

War Front: Turning Point explores an alternate World War II, one in which Hitler is assassinated in the early days. This new timeline includes more than just new leadership. Players will take command of experimental weapons, prototype vehicles and units rarely seen in strategy games in an attempt to alter or secure the historical outcome of World War II.

Features:

The first "Science-Fiction/World War II" RTS title that combines resource gathering, army building, base construction and a full-fledged technology tree with an intuitive interface and accessible tactical combat in a style that will delight casual and veteran strategy gamers alike.

A detailed technology tree allows for a variety of recognized WWII weapons along with special, nation-specific, secret and super weapons such as multi-turreted tanks, jet-pack soldiers, stealth bombers, armored mechs and more.

Players can control units in a traditional top-down RTS perspective or take direct control and jump into turrets or attach to any combat vehicle for a near-FPS experience.

All WW2 RTS games ever made and ever to be made have already been beaten by CoH

The name sounds so incredibly generic, it's been being lobbied by pharmaceutical multinationals

From what I've read about CoH it's not actually a RTS in a classic sens. Meaning you don't have a base and you just have units that you control on the battlefield. Sorry that just doesn't appeal to me. Another game that sounded interesting but I didn't like for the same reason was Ground Control.

It's not like Ground Control at all. In CoH you have a HQ and you can build 4 buildings that pump out different kinds of units.
