War on Democracy

I haven't watched it yet but...the sensationalist name doesn't help. :\
 
Any educated person knows what the USA have done in Central America. You're not going to shock anyone on that account; although you do paint yourself negatively in two ways by bringing in up in such a manner.
Firstly, because it does not prove that the USA is waging or has ever waged a "war on democracy". Rather, they used their vast resources to keep neighbouring countries in a non-threatening state and happened to use underhanded methods to do so. That's a "war on democracy" only if you're as simpleminded as Ann Coulter or George Galloway. It's an act of pure self-preservation, for better or worse.
Secondly, because Chavez is a tyrant and an opponent of democracy in the true sense of the word. That just makes you a misguided hypocrite.

The Chinese Communist party do too. Democracy is a buzzword these days. I reckon the term "Universal Suffrage" is a better term than democracy. At least its largely unambiguous.
 
Listening to these morons (Solaris and his ilk) is no less mind-numbing than listening to their counterparts.
They scorn simple-minded concepts like the "war on terror" under some kind of guise of intelligence and insight, only to spew even more simple-minded concepts themselves, such as the "war on democracy".
They play the racist card whenever it is suggested that other cultures may have anything at all to do with all the bad things in the world, only to turn around and blame everything on the white man.
They shun the Church of Pope's Fairytales, only to worship at the Church of Environmentalism instead.

Chavez is my hero, he is one of the greatest persons alive today. As an educated capitalist freedemocracymarket loving person I believe he is one of the ultimate manifestations of selfishness and self-preservation. A since i believe that being as selfish as possible is the best way forward and excuses any action however immoral, I love him.
Everyone should be as selfish as they can be, because then we will all move forward live in a paradise.

I think it serves a purpose in illustrating that the loony left-wing movement is every bit as extremist, insane, reactionary and illogical as the far right.

More worryingly, it has far more of a strangehold on our society than the far right could ever dream of. In everything from authoritarian nannyism, stealth taxes and green pseudo-science to politically correct bullshit, equality of outcomes and the multiculturalism/immigration taboo, we have been taken over by leftist kooks.
 
It serves a purpose in illustrating the total loss of connection to reality motorcycle accidents can have on a person. To be more precise the idea that excusing everything on account of self-preservation grants you no right to judge anyone else since it abolishes any sense of common responsibily.
