Well this kind of sucks. I don't want to miss out on content for the game but I sure as hell don't want to spend an extra $50 for a glorified game pad that I'd never use for anything else. What a lame ass thing to do...
 
Oh I heard of this, it was posted. Guess people just don't really give a ****.
 
I saw a guy doing a presentation with it a long time back (Razer employee) but I had no idea it was going to be released with specific levels with Portal 2. Excellent addition to my haptic controllers collection! I'm surprised there is a good amount of media on the hydra now but not a great of coverage or news on the Portal 2 + Hydra bundle. When that comes around, we will post it up for sure.
 
What exactly do motion controllers have to do with Portal?
I would think they'd want to be associated with a Jedi Knight game or something that deals with melee combat.
 
Watch the video, Razer made their own maps. You can pick up a cube and stretch / flatten / shape it into a particular conformation to use it for various puzzles and such. You can also pick up objects and extend them away from you. There are probably other mechanics too.
