And unless I heard wrong, but in the start when they have that big battle where all those horse dudes are charging, I heard CS sounds, from the reload to the shooting it sounded like CS. Just something I found kinda wierd, its on TBS right now, I dunno when they are gonna shoot guns again, but if they do listen for the CS sounds.

i've got it on dvd. well my sister has it on dvd. i had to do a garret style mission, sneak in and blackjack her over the head. she turned around and said "wtf are you doing?!" so i just grabbed it and ran.

anyway, the gun sound effects don't sound like those from CS. there's a little part where 4-5 guns fire at once, and it sounds a little bit like the AK-47, but that's about it.

I'm with Dedalus on this one, the sounds in the Mummy aren't from CS. Besides, the battle you're on about they're all firing one-shot rifles.

But the rifles they shoot sound alot like AK-47's from CS and when the main dude reloads it sounds alot like a AWP reloading, or maybe I'm just wrong.

A lot of sounds used in films, and even games come from the same places anyway. Especialy b movies and stuff like that. (Not that the mummy is a b movie)

Over the past couple years, I've experienced that a couple times. Two sounds I remember hearing are the human farm noise from Warcraft 2, and the sound the big pink 2 legged eating things from the original DOOMs make when they die (sounds kinda like a dog making a weird noise, then a thump)... I don't remember what movies, but I remember hearing them.

...just think of where the CS-dude got his sounds from.

I have heard plenty of sound effects from games and tv shows being used in many different forms of entertainment. Its because its cheaper to simply buy an archive of sound effects than to create completely new ones.
