Was checking WD's support site about warranty length for one of my drives but noticed you can 'UPGRADE' your drive through them and get a discounted price while keeping your old drive (doesn't have to be in-warranty, just a valid SN). The discounted price is off WD's retail price. Got the RE2 750GB drive (5 yr warranty) for $216 (vs $260 on newegg). Normally they sell the RE2 750GB for $290. hehe
They drop warranty on the old drive (mine was already out of warranty) and of course you get full warranty on the new one.
