Fresh out of yahoo news (54 mins ago to be exact):

WASHINGTON - Wrapping up his investigation into Saddam Hussein's purported arsenal, the CIA's top weapons hunter in Iraq said his search for weapons of mass destruction "has been exhausted" without finding any.

Nor did he find any evidence that such weapons were shipped officially from Iraq to Syria to be hidden before the U.S. invasion, but he couldn't rule out some unofficial transfer of limited WMD-related materials.

He closed his effort with words of caution about potential future threats and careful assessment of this and other unanswered questions.

The Bush administration justified its 2003 invasion of Iraq as necessary to eliminate Hussein's purported stockpile of WMD.

"As matters now stand, the WMD investigation has gone as far as feasible," wrote Charles Duelfer, head of the Iraq Survey Group, in an addendum to the report he issued last fall. "After more than 18 months, the WMD investigation and debriefing of the WMD-related detainees has been exhausted."

This is what I'm talking about.

Even if the Iraq war turned out as smooth as a baby's butt, the method behind it would still set a troublesome precedent.

god I hate my government sometimes...I think we once had some kind of balance between conservative and liberal...but now its one extreme or the other...

Nope, that's what they made up when their first argument failed (WMD's). Oh no, wait, they first made up something about ties between Saddam and Osama before they came up with "liberation of the people". :p

timeline:

wmd (2002)
ties to al qaeda (2003)
liberation of iraq (2003)
democracy in iraq (2004)
nuking iraq (2008)

Now how to pretend WMD's were NOT the major reason to go to war. how to pretend that the only reason the war was approved was because Bush lied about WMD's.

ugh, i hate being lied to.

I consider myself neither "right" or "left"..I smoke pot and believe in more equality in general,so I am a "lefty" to some..

I am for the death penalty and more secure(but not closed) borders..which some say makes me in bushs pocket..

I hate what the government has become,as do many americans, but no matter what we do,other countries tend to lump us all in the same boat..

I'm not saying that everyone in other countries feels that way..but it sure feels like it sometimes!

I didn't ask to be born a white american male, but it happened, and somehow I am being blamed for slavery over 200 years ago, bush being in existence, and all kinds of other things..

I am glad the "search" is officially over..and I am glad nothing was found..if it existed or not, better to be safe than sorry..the war however was bullshit..

don't get me wrong,I am glad that one less loony has power in the world, but now we(americans) are more hated than ever, for something most of us really had no control over..

our very own loony in chief..we tried to elect others, somehow(cheating) bush won(haxx0r!!)..and then won again:( all these old people in politics around the world(for the most part) are stuck in the past with old grudges and beliefs that have no relevance to today...

and the young up and comers better toe the line and play by the old rules or they are screwed..I'm moving to amsterdam, damnit :naughty: :smoking:

maybe if people had to take some kind of competency tests in order to be involved in politics or to vote for that matter,it might make a difference

sorry for the ranting deviations and such :)
