Well this problem doesn’t particularly pertain to this website, but I thought I would post here.

Generally any site I go to know including this one, the webpages look distorted and the font is large and uneven to the rest.

I've tried rebooting; uninstalling, reinstalling my browser and Internet explorer service pack 1, and nothing. This is really annoying and I can not enjoy the new skins for this site :x

Any help please?

The pictures below are some sites that I’ve visited to give you an idea of what I see.

Whoa, that looks like crawp. :O

Possibly a screwy setting in your browser options somewhere disabling the use of some web-code of some sort...

Looks like CSS (no, not counterstrike, cascading style sheets) isn't working. Very odd.

On second thought, it's not just CSS I think... it's like the browser ignores all styling and color code. No idea what could cause this...

Does everything work in Mozilla Firefox or another non-IE browser?

does it look normal when you view it with internet explorer instead of avant browser

or try firefox... I love it, best browser evah!

I'm with EVIL. Never going back to IE again and I think Firefox owns Opera too.

Im using Advent browser, and last night everything was fine. Booted down for the night, woke up this morning then this was like that.

Ive tried the normal IE explorer and the same thing

Whats wrong with IE?

It's security sucks. It has too many bugs and loopholes. Firefox doesn't. Firefox also has more features.

i assure you firefox has plenty of bugs/ loopholes... but its not viable for the hackers/crackers/ whatever you want ot call them to look into firefox because of the lack of users... thats why explorer is "picked on" because its one of the most commonly used web browsers...

Andy

More features = more loopholes = more fun for everyone ^_^

In IE (don't know if it works in other browsers) you hold control and then use your scroll mouse. Scrolling back zooms in, scrolling forward zooms out. Pretty nifty.

You probably changed it on accident one time like me. Well, too bad I got here late. :E

I have noticed that when the Web pages wasn't working, your start menu and the taskbar was plain white!! Now that you have reinstalled XP the start menu is back to normal and so your Web pages... Did you install a theme software or something? Or maybe you just changed the color in your sleep :)

Na it was a theme :P

But then my eyes started to hurt so I put them back to clasic. I dont use the xp themes, because it eats memory. I save all the memory I can for games

THE ANSWER:

Okay, look, sometimes when you hit some button and scroll on your mouse, or do some other button combinations, you change the text size in IE. To reverse, go to view, text, size, and set it to normal.

And I look down on you for reinstalling, that's SO POOR.

THE CONCLUSION:

If you don't know, don't post. It won't help anyone if you say "I don't know, hmm... It might be something that I've never heard of. Maybe someone else knows". It's better to say nothing at all.

You shouldn't have reinstalled so quickly unless you felt it neccessary/about time, for other reasons aswell.

PS. Honestly, you couldn't have looked in View at least? I mean you did have a VISUAL problem, and in the menu it did say text, the thing you had a problem with. Anyone doubting me, please resize the text to large while browsing a webpage and you'll see noticble difference. DS.

Let's take a browser discussion shall we?
Why do you think people crack IE? It's because it's the most used, not easiest to crack. It's most definently the hardest one to crack. It currently has no bugs what so ever unless you start getting spyware/adware on to your computer or even viruses, which people assume to be IE's fault as the retarded PC users they are.

The most sexy two single features of IE is;
1. The simplicity and ease of use.
2. The massive support you have. Shall anything (like a loophole) appear, Microsoft will fix it.

So tell me then, what "cool features" does firefox have?

I find Firefox is not only faster than IE, but the tabbed browsing and pop-up filters work wonders. I also find it's interface more pleasing to the eye, and more user-friendly, than IE's. But you're right when the only reason it isn't attacked is simply because it's no-where near as popular as IE.

Yeah. I'm not saying everyone has to use IE, but talking shit about it because it get's hacked is ignorance.

I've never been a fan of pop-up killers. I've become an expert clicking those ads down (And there are more efficient ways then using the X-button in the corner).

If you want to get rid of those, you get a popup-killer.

What's the tabbed browsing you spoke of?

Opera has a number of cool features that IE doesn't have. Mouse gestures, fully customisable toolbars, skinnable (out of the box), in-built email client, popup killer, in-built chat client, comprehensive bookmarks system, in-built download manager, to name just a few.
