well wedding rings are suppose to be simple, like a silver band with a small gem, less than 500 if you want. It's the engagment ring that well set you back a small car.

omg what the hell are you doing? ...no offense but you're far too young to get married ...unless it's a pre-arranged thing, which in that case it's beyond your control
you've barely had time to discover who you are. If you have to ask how much a wedding ring costs you're not anywhere near ready for it ..it's usually 2 months salary but you have to factor in other things like wedding band (I'm assuming you mean engagement ring ), cost of living (how will you save for it if you're paying rent. utilities etc ..oh let me guess you still live at home)
as someone who's been married for 3 years (yesterday was my anniversary) and who has lived with someone for 10 years ..it's not the romantic perfect lifestyle you think t is ...sure there's lots of good things about marriage but there's also a heck of a lot of responsibility; raising a family isnt easy. Not too mention that you have to live with this person for the rest of your life ...I dated my wife for 7 years before we were married ..5 of those living together ..there were NO surprises after the honeymoon

Don't spend too much on a ring, thats not to try and save yourself money for beer but in my opinion spending loads of money on a ring only impresses bimbo type women.
It's meant to be a symbol of marriage, should be strong and sturdy.....it's not a symbol of wealth.
Just get a nice pair of gold rings for $100 or whatever.
Personally i think it's a load of bull but fair play if it makes you happy.

I'm not getting married, but im pretty sure I will Marry this girl, when I get back from my Mission. So thats about 2 years. Plus I'm not gonna get married immediately when i get back. But I love the girl and was just curious how much its gonna cost for the ring. Mormons usually always get married at a younger age. Maybe its something to do with no sex before marriage? hahaha, no its not just about that, I love this girl so much.
