I like the Olympic one too. Too bad "Valteq" disappeared. Would have worked out well during the run of the Olympics because it would be more inspirational.

Still, both are good ideas.

OH? in my opinion i thought the art on mine was pretty good, and the amimation was funny. i agree that it was tweened a lot, but i still liked it better than yours

DESIGN THE G-MAN AN EVIL HENCHMAN!!!
(e.g. an excuse to design a really cool super villan)

so we could have a killer robot that the G-man directs with a romote control, or an evil super cat that can burn down walls with his sight alone... or the G-man himself could be a super-powered killing machine in disguise!

I like that idea, but A) then i cant do flash cartoons, and B) i bet you 99% of people on this forum couldnt be bothered to get loads of cardboard tubes and make a headcrab. i definately like the idea though

i think we should advertise the contest more if we do it though... because usually we only have about 10-20 regulars who enter every now and again, and im sure a lot of people WOULD enter, but never look in the art forum because theyre not interested in art, and dont know theres competitions going on.

*edit* maybe we could have these "specialised" contests seperate from the weekly (or should i say fortnightly?) contests, like just have a sticky "clay" thread or something. mixing it in with the art contest would just mean we get even less entries.

Hey, I like the idea of a Concept Art Contest, followed by a Modelling Contest based on the winning concept, followed by a Skinning Contest on the winning model. (Had to say that mouthful, hehe)

Hell, I'll enter for the concept contestif you do it, even though I suck!

And whatever happened to tim and the Weekly Art Contests? I always looked forward to the next ones.

Ok little update, Spoken to Munro about some of the contest suggestions, and some idea's I had for improving it. He seemed to like them, so now its just a case of waiting until some things get sorted out and the contest will start up again.
