As long as you make it : paint it, draw it, sketch it, on or off of the computer (in any program, doesn't have to be photoshop), you can enter it.

That's good to hear!

The title "Photoshop Contest" is somewhat of a misnomer though.

If I had known this for the previous contests, I would likely have entered.
Maybe that's what's been keeping many people from entering?
I'm sure I'm not the only one stayed out of previous bouts for being photoshop impaired.

Perhaps it should be called the "Art Contest" to clarify this?
Adding "radical" and a few exclamation points to a title doesn't hurt either.

I suggested calling it an Art Contest a while ago, I guess that comment flew over people's heads and crashed into a friggin mountain.

Who knows chu. I wasn't in charge before, but apparently the power is all mine now. Originally, a lot of the ideas were more 'photoshop' oriented. ie: put something from half-life into real life and all that jazz. Now that the posts seem to be getting away from that, I agree we should change it to Art contest.

I am a man of action, and listen to what the public has to say, so keep your comments coming!

I don't see why not, course the competion is nothing to do with me, but I think if its being extended to cover different types of drawings then 3D renders should be allowed, moreso since a modeling competition doesn't seem to be getting off the ground so its got my vote. Ask Timmy see what he says.

Pretty much anything that isn't not art is allowed I guess, unless you find a rule specifically stating otherwise. Renders are like sculptures after all; only not real.

D'oh, fenric got to it first. He has a good point though, it's always a good idea to ask tim about these things.

Everything I draw looks like a 12 year old drew it, and looks really stupid. I was thinking of getting a tablet, but what's the point if I suck at drawing? Maybe I won't enter this week.

I was gonna enter, got as far as a sketch then the new comp arrived and well yeah, had to play with that, you know how it is

Mechagodzilla: It's not defeatist talk, I just got a fancy new machine and playing, erm i mean working on it is a priority :angel: Now if you'll excuse me I have to go jump around a lot at how cool Morrowind looks. I hope HL2 gets the ripple effect when you move through it like Morrowind has!

HybridM: yeah, right! your post is just like someone who doesnt play an instrument bullying a band, sry... if u dont do something urself, dont insult other artists, that at least put effort in some creative work.
