Was playing L4D with my wife and a couple friends and every time I host, the game speed is way too fast. It's nearly double the speed of everything, including the zombies, reload speed, my own movement speed. Sometimes it will slow down a tad but then it will start flying again soon after.

This sounds like the exact same problem I would have with my AMD X2 processor. L4D wasn't released yet, but it was happening on most other games at the time. I had to download some Dual Core Optimizer to fix things.

Could that be the fix you're looking for? If you open the Task Manager while running L4D and you set the l4d.exe to only the 0 affinity, does that resolve your issue, also?

I'm on a quad. I'll try changing the affinity, but won't that reduce my processing power greatly?
