Weird HL2 Spawn Glitch

I have a weird glitch in my HL2/HL2 mods where I can't change maps or it freezes, nor can I spawn enemies without the game force-quitting on me. I have looked around the net and found nothing, any suggestions here?

I think you cna only spawn certain enemies, one time i spawned a load of vortigaunts and zombies for them to do battle, but when i tried to add Combine to the mix, the game froze up and i was forced to end it. This also happens in Portal, i can summon Zombies, Antlion Gaurds, etc, but not Vortigaunts or Combine or it freezes up, i'm not sure why though. But i don't have any info on the maps thing.

Also have you ever killed a Stalker in HL2? The ragdoll is... weird...
