I played through Half-Life 2 the first time with no problems what-so-ever, but now I'm getting these strange FPS drops. I don't think they're the same stutters that most people are complaining about because the audio doesn't stutter, the FPS just drops to around the 30/20 mark for no reason. I could be stood still looking at a blank wall and it'll happen. I've included a couple of screenshots that show the problem.
OK, trust me when I say I haven't moved between taking these two screenshots of my FPS, I took them in CS:Source on de_prodigy, but the problem happens in Half-Life 2 as well.
I think it may have something to do with the drivers I'm using, because I've changed them since I played through HL2 the first time. I like my current drivers and would prefer not to go back!
