weired graphic problem and how to reinstall?

ok... i tried and downloaded a specialized config for CS:S. an autoexec.cfg and a valv.rc was also included.

i started the game.... deleted serveral times the cfg, started a new cfg... and so on.

now i can see through maps sometimes that little white crosses point on the lightsource of the maps... i mean when u go through dust in that temple... everything is full with that crosses pointing on the lights and lamps... how can i disable that?

2. question... how can i reinstall css? i dont want to delete everything.. can i just delete the config and sys files? if yes? what files?

i already tried deleting the config files in the config folder with no effect.

valve.rc? I've no idea what it is... but if deleting the rc and autoexec doesn't work, then it's possible you've downloaded a virus or some kind of exe that screws up your game- you may have to redownload the CS:S gcf, which I know you don't want to do cos its a ball ache, but unless you know what has been done to the files in the gcf then it will be extremely hard to fix...
