Just got registered, and thinking about getting this game, but not sure if my computer will run it efficiently--since I'm a moron and can't figure this out for myself, I thought I would just "ask".

My system specs are-- Pentium 4 1.8 GHZ; 384 RAM (don't ask); ATI Radeon 9550 VCard.

What are my chances anyone...?

You'll get away with HL2 on your rig:

1.2 GHz Processor
256MB RAM
DirectX 7 capable graphics card

That's the minimum requirements. You might be able to play on low/medium settings.

It worked on 1.7 ghz CPU, 128mb RAM, 32mb onboard video. So, yes.

I hear it'll work on a 700MHz CPU 256 RAM and a non shader compatible DX7 card. It is nice to see that Valve aren't like "lololololol 1337 u ned a BFG ovrcloaked just 2 run coz ur a n00b nd good gfx = god game nub"
