Well...I can't sprint in Half Life 2 :/

Just upgraded gfx and did a fresh install of OS. Reinstalled HL2 cause I wanted to see how the graphics was with the new card Shift is default key but when hold that down I expect to sprint but I don't. Even tried to sign jump to another button but no matter what I just keeps walking :S I even tried to reinstall the game again but that didn't help out much. Tried to look around for answers but haven't been successful as of yet. Hope U can help me out...

You don't get sprint until you get the HEV suit.

No its not. Without the suit, you always run. Notice that you move faster than the walking combine and citizens in the first level? With the suit you can run faster in bursts because it power assists you.

Sure but it's not much of a run, more of a jog.

Without the suit you should still be able to sprint somewhat...
It's not that big a deal though, I'm sure the devs had whatever reasons to prevent players from sprinting during the first chapter of the game...

Well I'm pretty sure last time I played Insertion I could sprint a bit trying to get away from those combines in the house just before U meet Alyx. Maybe my mind plays tricks on me lol. Ok I'll jog my way over to the lab then

Edit: Yes, after getting the suit I can sprint. Damn I feel kinda stupid about posting this in here. Thx for the feedback though guys
