MmmmmmmmmmM yeh wasnt really expecting the vile aftertaste, just was like a really hot burning aniseed taste, lasted for a fair bit too! Couldda been worse i spose only had one shot of the stuff...that was enough..!:rolling:
Finally tryed the deadly stuff tho wooop! Its not too bad i'd maybe drink some again bt yeh I think i'll just stick to cocktails!
So who here has actually tried it and likes it :p?

I've drank 5 shots of it with 6 pints of beer...the aftertaste was with me 24 hours later.
 
I like Absinthe, but the black stuff is pure-stomach-cleaning malice.
 
What's the percentage on Absinthe?

The strongest stuff I drink so far is 151. About 75.5%.

I want some moonshine:P

Not sure, the harshest I've seen someone drink was Navy Proof Rum. He sat there in his own little world :O
 
I've not tried it, only smelt it..and the vapours were quite heady :)

I did drink my friends uncles homemade "gin" once however, 80% if i remember correctly. And yes i still have my eyesight.

Didn't you hear? Absinthe died after he felt dizzy and collapsed and his mum posted to tell us the grave news.

Anyway, I haven't tried Absinthe but doesn't it have some hallucinagenic drug in it?

It's got wormwood in it, not sure if that's the 60% or 80% :D

It's funfunfunfun stuff
 
generally the wormwood stuff will have a lower alcohol percentage, because it actually tastes nice, so you dont need 85% alcohol to make it attractive.

On-topic: Absinthe is a horrible drink. But it's hilarious to watch people that have drank half a bottle to go crazy and hallucinate :p
 
Absinthe is hot shit. I tried some weed that had been soaked in absinthe once- my friend smuggled a bottle back to America. He said that fire activates the really powerful properties in it- I kinda don't believe him, but I did have the most unbelievably amazing high of my life. For drinking, though, it's pretty harsh stuff (never stopped me :D).

Say what you want, I don't smoke anymore, and I barely ever touch alcohol. I'm extremely responsible with stuff like this, which is why I stopped smoking weed: it got boring.

Yeah, it's just not worth it. If I wanted to live in a dream world, I'd play a computer game (which I hardly do as it is). No point in killing my body in the process.
 
The funny thing is, I really shouldn't be responsible, judging by my personality. I mean, like, it's surprising that I am. I get addicted to candy, for chrissake. Well, I guess I can't complain.

What the consequences are for reaching a country where it's banned are unknown to me however.

I remember my first absinthe experience, with the sugar and everything.

Needless to say two of those had me absolutely ga-ga.
 
My brother is a large fan of absinthe, he would make advertisements for some guy in Germany and he gets paid the stuff. D:
