That my pc will hopefully be up to specs to play halflife 2.
I then went and got a aiw 9800pro. But that still would only help so much before my xp2000+ my old mobo and 256mb of ram dragged it down.
So I went and got the parts and put it all together. (which will be friday? or monday :| heatsink is still being shipped)
cpu: Xp 2500+ Mobile
heatsink/fan: Sp-97 W/Panaflo 92mm fan @56.8cfm 35dba
Mobo: Abit NF7-S
Video: ATI AIW 9800pro
Ram: Samsung Pc3200 2x512mb
HD: Western digital 80gb
Dvd: Panasonic 12x DVD
Case: Antec plusview 1000amg
PSU: Antec Truepower 430W
With my great hsf, im hoping I can at least pull 2.5ghz out of that xp. (should be able to, the stepping on it has been doing up to 2.7ghz for others)

only one thing though, is there some specific reason for you buyin samsung ram?
