Speed camera.

Sitting on a blind corner 20 meters from where the speed changed from 70 to 60km/h. Granted i was doing 70 - 80 anyway. (not exactly sure i wasnt paying attention) so depending where he got me i was doing somehwere between 65 and 80. (i broke when i saw him but i got a good feeling it was to late)

Normaly i wouldnt be speeding that much but it was 2 in the morning and i wasnt thinking. i just had a run in with my ex at a club. its not a road plauged by speeders and racers (its in that shit condition you wouldnt want to speed on it) so why it was there i dont know. it should of been 100m down the road where people always race and speed at the intersection.

so i am expecting a ticket in the mail sometime next week.

probably $150 - $250 fine and 2 - 3 demerit points (you get 6 on your p's in victoria before you loose your licence)

shit.

Sitting on a corner? I guess thats legal over there, over here they have to be on straight stretchs of road to actually be admisable as evidence, to be used to send out a fine.

I can't remember what points and how much money gets taken off you here, but its a pain because there are cameras....Everywhere :x

take it to court, plead ignorance or do what I did last time I had a speeding ticket: ..I told the judge I had diarrhea and had to get home quickly before I had an accident ...he dropped the charges :)

always take tickets to court even if you're guilty ...never know when the cop might not show

yeah realy weird spot

the corner went round and it was on a weird 45* angle. couldnt see anyone in it but it was a "divvy" van with a spotlight on the back pointing up the road so it shon on the back of the car when you went past.

which was weird because they dont need lights these days, they dont even flash. so who knows what'll happen. maybe i was wrong. maybe it was there for some other reason.

I feel sorry for you because Victorian police are incredibly harsh. At least in South Australia we get 5-7km/h leeway (depending on the officer) instead of getting booked at +2/3 :(

You sir are the biggest idiot I have ever seen. HE GOT A TICKET BY A CAMERA. CAMERA's CANT TESTIFY IN COURT.

Whoa, cameras... glad I've never had to put up with that shizz... I actually don't think it's possible to get a ticket on the freeways 'round here unless you're doing WELL above the speed limit. :naughty:

We had speed cameras installed onto some of our red-light cameras and some interesctions here in Adelaide, and they raised $100,000+ in three days. Yeah, I did 117km/h straight past a motorbike cop with a laser-gun on Saturday, and he didn't even budge =/

lol @ that guys number plate!
