my gramps just had what may have been a stroke and urinated on himself (I dont find it funny so please dont laugh). I hope he is not seriously ill, I love him because he is my last remaining grandparent that I actually know and see every week.

and on top of that my bloodsugar has been ****ing up lately and I may be diabetic.. juggleing a job (physically intensive one at that) and school with ****ed up bloodsugar has been terrible but i'm just now starting to take steps towards diagnosing it (have to check bloodsugar all the time). I rarely make posts concerning my personal life.. it's

hardly my style.. but my life just seems to be heading in a downward spiral and I feel like i've got no place else to turn at the time (friends busy finishing last min. hw) Any ideas for stress relief?

:(

For stress relief? Listen to some music while doing something distracting (read a book, for example)

Stress relief? Step away from the computer and talk to your parents.

Eat Icecream. Watch movies with happy endings. Listen to uplifting wimpy punk rock.

sleep...helps me once in awhile...listen to calming music, dont do anything that causes stress really...

if you dont mind me asking, what do you do? maybe you can ask you boss to let you bring in a MP3 player...or ask for a few days off (if your boss asks why just tell him/her that your gramps had a stroke and you have to help look after him)

Kamikazie has some solid advice there :)

Sorry to hear about all this bhc :(

Sorry to hear about all your troubles.

When ever i had stuff on my mind and was stressed out i got my MP3 player, lay on my bed and just put some nice chillout music on and just lay there. Really calmed me down and i started to think really clearly. You might not want to think about whats going on, but if you do you'll probably wake up feeling like you've had a huge weight lifted from your shoulders.

And do pretty much what everyone else said. Try do something you enjoy, bit of music on, it all distracts the mind.

Oh, and chocolate is suppost to cheer you up too. Get a nice bar of chocolate, a nice movie, and just pig out.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

I find touching myself helps.

he's my last remaining grandparent, my mom's parents dont know me and my dads mom died of cancer when I was 7ish. I have no grandmas :p yes we all have our problems mine just appear to be aplified as of late, i'm not asking for your sympathy.

Oh and i'd love to eat a hershy bar but my blood sugar would go fubar.

And as for the other posts, humor doesn't offend me at times like this, it often does the opposite.. unfunny humor does though.. in general :p

Oh yeah. Sorry about that.

Now my computer wont even turn on, jeez what a shitty week and a half. Oh well... I tweaked some bios / video card settings and now my computer does absolutely nothing when I press the power button. Godamnit, I even tried resetting cmos and everything. The PSU is new the hardware was in good shape. Now it wont stay on for more than .5 seconds without shutting itself off. I'm at school posting this wishing I was home trying to fix my pc. Argh.

/complaints over

Man, that sucks. I hate weeks like that, where everything seems to go down the shitter. Like many others here, I find listening to music really helps... but a good book goes even further.

I love you Babyheadcrab, and may the best be with you bro!

I know how ya feel man my grampa was diabetic and he had a long and horrible death. It all started 6 years ago first he went blind in his left eye then his right a year later, then he had to get his toes on one leg amputated because he started getting gangreen then the whole leg had to be amputated then some toes on the other foot. After that he went in to get his other leg amputated but the docotors screwed up and they said he'd be fine and he would have if the nurses hadn't treated him like crap the just pumped him full of morphing he went completely bonkers, his mind never recovered, the nurses wouldn't help him with anything. He died almost two years ago completely insane beacause of those dumb lazy nurses. I miss him a lot. I've also been afraid to go to hospitles ever since. Well best of luck too ya baby headcrab.

Sorry to hear that...like other people have said, I think watching one of those corny comedy movies would help you feel better. :) Always do for me.

My, how...reassuring. O_O

Sorry to hear about that man. That could be uploaded to urbandictionary as a definition of 'sucks'. Make sure you do go see a doctor and do keep your own personal situation in control even if there's nothing you can do for your grandpa (if there is, then do it yeah). As people say, listening to music and watching movies/doing other distracting activities helps. :(

bess stress releiver is going for a walk

I never met either of my grandfathers, both were dead before i was born.
And no, they didn't die in ww2.

No, both served in ww1 tho.
they died "natural deaths" in 60's/70's

My dad's prob as old as most of your grandads.

All my grandparents are dead. I was very close with my dad's dad.

Most of my relatives are dead.

But I'm sorry to hear about what happened, bhc. I hope he gets better soon.

I'm close to my grandparents. They keep me warm at night. But sometimes grandad thinks I'm grandma. And they wet the bed. And make me sleep in the wet spot. :p

You're freaking weird.

Both my grandmas are alive, while both my grandpas are gone. I miss 'em terribly. My dad's dad had a very bad stroke a while before he went, and it left him incoherent and in a wheelchair. Make sure you understand that, if your grandpa seems "dumb" it's merely because his output is crippled. I didn't. I was 6 or 7 at the time of the stroke, and because he couldn't really talk, I treated him like he was mentally defficient. I mean, I was only a kid at the time, but... it still keeps me up at night, the guilt.

well you have two options, put the smackdown on a hoe, take a very large object and smash it against somebodys head (somebody you hate for best effect), sink your teeth into a nice, hot, steamy muffin. or watch a movie, listen to music, hang out with friends alwayse does wonders, romance teh ladiezez :naughty: or just take a nap, spend some time by yourself for maybe 20 minutes, just lie and look at the ceiling and think about stuff. Theres all kinds of stuff, it just depends on what type of person you are.

drink bacon....or eat some orange juice. errrr....eat breakfast food.
