Went Flying Today

I got a one-on-one flight session today at the airpark near my house, so got to fly a Cessna around for about a half-hour. Pretty cool. What was neat was that other than the landing, checklists, and some engine power control, I flew the thing myself. Shame it didnt last any longer. I might start taking lessons on a regular basis in a while. What was cool was that I never really needed to use both hands during the whole thing.

I've been thinking of doing this sort of thing for a while . Is it expensive ? , never really heard of an "airpark" .

I was given a gift slip thing to do this last year.

I completely forgot about it though, I dug it out of the drawer just now and its expired.
Oh well. Never liked flying anyway.

Gliding is great too. It's not the same adrenaline-fuelled experience as flying in a nimble little plane, but there's just something spectacular about being up there above it all in complete silence and serenity.

Anyway on a serious note, I hope I eventually get a chance to pilot an aircraft IRL, love doing it in FSX and Il-2 Sturmovik 1946
