We're Dying.

This couldn't be the cause of our pumping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere for so long, could it? Nah...

Hope you can manage the heat.

Why does someone have to be the cause of a problem? Can't you just accept that the weather is shitty, because it is?

It's terrible up here in Southern Canada too. I hate this hot weather. It's been the warmest on record and it's still going.

I want my negative temperatures back. And to think I believed those people who said Global Warming wasn't happening...

Of course no one has to be the cause of it. But even you can admit that with the hurricanes, the hot weather in Arizona, heck its pretty warm for Ohio up here, that this isn't normal everyday weather. I would bet a lot of money that it would not be this hot this year if it weren't for all those greenhouse gases.

Actually no, we're going through a regular cycle of droughts, whcih has made the heat so noticeable. Usually there's rain relief. Global warming would account for cooling in this desert area, not the drought.

Dude, Arizona rocks. 115 there feels like 80 here. You have 0 humidity. And yes, I've been there, probably the most pleasant weather I've ever experienced.

It's true dry heat is better but every day for the past month it's been ~110. It's not so great when if I'm outside for 10 minutes, I can actually feel the subburn burning <- serious.

Bah, 10 minutes? I used to work for 10 hours all outside in 100-110 weather. I would somtimes go in the shade, but I never had the comfort of AC during the 10 hours. Luckily I quit that and with my money managed to get my new computer.

Yeah, I read about this on CNN.com. Horrible stuff. Do try not to become another death statistic.

And about the whole humidity thing, yes, it does help. Here in Denver, it's drier than hell, so when it gets hot it doesn't feel as bad as, say, Ohio, where I used to live. But when it gets above 110 or so, it doesn't matter. It just feels freaking HOT.

here in southern Ontario, the humidex is driving everyone nuts.
granted, the numerical value of temperature isn't as high as alot of the US cities.. but that damn humidex makes up for it in double as far as heat goes.

theres fears here of blackouts because of the extreme heat...if this kinda weather keeps up, can u say August blackout version 2005? :|

:P Only deaths were homeless and extremely elderly, or infants left in cars or outside. Not going to kill a young/healthy person.

I want that guy's ice cream :frown:

I've not really noticed it getting hotter. However, I figger you'd have to be awake to feel it, eh?

Yes actually.

Indians did incense, regular fire starting with dusty crap to communicate with dead...etc.

Lots of gaseous stuff used there.

God..I hate heat, GIMME FUGGIN WINTER! I want my subzero tempurature. I can live in snow forever...maybe I'll move to Alaska..O_o

Also, they farted and their um, waste matter, when decomposed, gave off lots of gas too.

and, I want to live in a place where its 15C all day long. Like BMRF with A/C

Parents said on the way home from work (Bullhead City to Golden Valley, 25 or so miles) time and temp on the car dash thing said 130. X_X

That's suicide...FU Heat..I want snow. As previously stated. If I do not get my snow, the sun is GOIN DOWN!!!

At least you don't get hot weather every day of the year, its a consistent 95 throughout the whole year here.

I though you were from South Korea. Or are you travelling?

its not bad here, we always get mild temps.

(come here for tourism!!!!!!) /sarcasm

yeah i love winter :)
this extreme heat is unbearable.

I read that some radio station down there had a Baskin Robbins take a scoop of ice cream and throw it on the pavement to see how long until it'd melt.

EIGHT. FREAKING. SECONDS.

I mean, really. That takes longer in the microwave.

Needles, California: 125 degrees. Even this awful heat has a good side - swimming hasn't been this good for a long time. The planet certainly has a cycle of hot and cold temperatures, and this may be an upward spike, but the average temperatures have been rising. Global warming is the phrase used to describe this phenomenon, but the results will not be that the entire planet gets warmer. Some places will get hotter and drier, some will get cooler and wetter. The bummer is that it will change and probably be unstable for a while. Not too bad for me, but there are legions of people that depend on stable weather patterns for their livelihood.

Global warming - ha it'll bring about the next ice age.

Right now it's a fairly comfortable 89°F here in Southern California. I have a hard time sleeping at night because it has been hot here recently. Yesterday was pretty uncomfortable. I feel sorry for you though man. I hope you have a huge air conditioner at your house or a pool or something. Must be impossible for you to get any sleep.

I remember being in Laughlin, Nevada on the river and it was 115 degrees at night and 125 in the morning. It sucked.

Out temperature stays at around 20° pretty much all the time.

No big deal, hehe. It's always a steady 75 degrees in the house. Just sucks doing stuff outside and makes it boring.

My parents work in Laughlin, about 25 mile drive from here. :p

THAT'S crazy.

Unless you mean degrees C. But still that'd be fairly cold to me, too.

Oh ****, its going to be 34C + in the next few days.....

with HIGH humidity. :frown:

Yes, Celcius. :P

Now lets see if I remeber how to convert. It's... 20*5/9+32 I think. That's 43... No, that doesn't make sense, does it? Maybe it's 20*9/5+32. That's 68. Sounds better.

Global warming happened at least 4 times before in Earth's history so it's nothing new. We humans are just accelerating it. Don't worry it's nowhere near bad right now. You'll know when it's bad when the Hydrogen sulphate at the bottom of the ocean comes screaming out of the ocean and 3000 Feet of flame comes bursting out of the ocean (it has happened before). Then you can say it's hot, and that global warming has offically started.

EDIT: Oh yeah..and the atmosphere turns red in the afternoon.

Seeing as we're leaving an ice age, global warming is only to be expected. At least in the northern parts of earth.
