Westinghouse L2610NW

Ive been helping my dad with his HP computer M7690n. He just bought a Geforce 9500gt graphics card and a Westinghouse L2610NW LCD monitor. At boot up with the old monitor which was a Viewsonic TV/Monitor View 27", the Hp logo would come up and go through the normal startup Window Logo etc. But when we try the Westinghouse monitor "Out Range Message" comes up until the welcome screen shows. Is there a conflict with NVidia and Westinghouse monitor or with the Hp computer itself?

Try finding a firmware update for the bios. Could be something incompatible with the new card? Seems unlikely, but who knows.
