Since I'm only a Lance Corporal I've only unlocked one gun...but I think I've got my unlocks worked out.

1. Medic (Done)
2. Spec Ops
3. Engineer
4. Assault
5. Anti-Tank
6. Sniper
7. Support

Of course it'll take FOREVER to unlock everything, but hey better that things take a while to unlock then instant rewards.

Medic (done)

either sniper or spec ops or assault i cant decide. probably assault.

1: medic (done)
2: assault
3: spec ops
4: anti tank
5: support
6: engineer
7: sniper

Well, I've already unlocked Medic, and now I'm looking for the Assault unlock.

Assault unlock blows. 20 rounds, no grenade launcher, medium damge.

Medic (done)
Sniper.

Well since I cannot seem to get to my next rank nor can I even get close to unlocking ANYTHING.. Seems like I am stuck with the original guns..

Someone tell me how close I am to unlocking something and/or getting an award/medal..

My name in game is Shamrock13.. Go to one of those online ranking sites since I do not know them..

erm... when you click the "BFHQ" tab in the frontend of the game, it shows your score, various kits, and how close you are to your next rank. For the record, Lance Corporal (where you get your first unlock) requires a score of 1000.

Oh, and I chose medic for my first unlock (and it was a damn good choice too). Second... I'm thinking Sniper, Spec Ops or Anti-Tank. Sniper and Spec Ops would just be for the cool factor, but anti-tank would be more practical, as I'm always either a medic or an anti-tank...

yeah.

After lance Corpral, when is the next unlock?
I chose medic at first, bloody awesome gun, well accurate. :)
Sniper next, or spec ops.

Im disappointed with the medic unlock tbh, it is accurate, but not very powerful, and hardly any better than the original medic gun- when i forget to swap them around and i play with the original i pwn it up.

I asked this in another thread and no one replied, but can anyone make a list of all the unlockable weapons, and their advantages or disadvantages compared to the original ones, or atleast post a link to a site which has it( i haven't been able to google it).

I got support..but it seems like I'm pretty much alone on that :(

Its so fun mowing people down as they come through alleyways, or proning on a hill spraying down on a base! :naughty:

Which is the best unlock? I would presume it's the sniper and the Spec Ops one?

im gona get medic probably or spec ops, i played with most in the demo, the assault does blow, very accurate but no grenade launcher, sniper rifle suposedly isnt anymore powerful than the default one and inaccurate.

a guy i was playing with yesterday had the support gun unlock and was owning with it at long distances too.

Ok, the default support gun is really, really bad and unusable at medium and long ranges.

So everyone's unlocked the medic's gun then? (I have too, I've found it far better than the normal Colt Carbine). However in order to unlock any more weapons you'll have to be playing for bloody ages.

The ranks truely are FUBAR.

yeah the default support guns are crap, the saw is terrible, its actually pretty accurate in real life afaik, they need to be patched imo.

but the unlock seems vey good, like i said this guy was owning with it, he was top of the scoreboard and picked me off with it from a distance a few times.

I've gotten pretty good with the SAW at long range, i had like a K/D ratio of like 1:11 but it's a bit more even now :p The trick is to forget about firing short, controlled bursts, but to just hold down the trigger. You put enough lead in the air and eventually they'll die even at the long ranges. Still the amount of bullets per long range-kill is stupid  Probably about 40 bullets per person.

When you have a PKM equipped ( the support unlocked weapon ) and you have a squad of enemies coming towards you in a close group, you prone and fire...thats a lotta kills :naughty:

My first unlock was the assault. Granted it doesn't have the n00b cannon attached but grenades are much nicer. The n00b cannon was only usefull for taking out light vehicles, and youl have plenty of spec ops/AT to do that for ya. Grenades are nice to toss around corners and on top of building where the GL cant get to. On top of that this weapon is more accurate and has high damage. It kicks ass for killing at a very long range, if you can see them, you can most likely hit them.

Next I may go for the AT or spec ops. Probally the AT unlock because everyone is getting the spec ops. The AT is a nice automatic shotgun, you will own at close range. For medium and long range you have your pistol/AT weapon, which does numbers on infantry actually. The pistol is always good, in fact I use that as an engineer and kick some serious ass, it is pretty accurate.

MEDIC: More accurate, but noticeable less powerful than the AK-101 and AK-47.

ASSAULT: More powerful, but no grenade launcher and only 20 rounds.

SNIPER: Same power as US Sniper rifle, more accurate at long distances, more accurate crosshair, bolt-action, shoots through cocpits.

SUPPORT: Didn't see much of a difference, even less accurate.

SPEC-OPS: Very slightly more accurate, very slightly more powerful, no red dot sight.

ANTI-TANK: Shotgun, blows at distances any greater than 15 feet. Good for close-range if you have good aim.

ENGINEER: Haven't tried that one yet.

(these are all based on my observations)

I can't wait until I get the Sp Ops unlock! G36c all the way!

Then again, it's the only class I've ever played in Battlefield 2...I used to play medic all the time in Bf1942...

EDIT: Actually I wish they put in Commander unlocks, I play it half the time (See link in sig). More artillery/ shorter artillery reloads and/or longer scans would help me a lot more than a slightly more powerful rifle...

What are you talking about??
I unlocked support at lance corporal, to get the PKM; and it owns.
If you can shoot well in bursts it takes down people easily, and is only inaccurate when u continually shoot. ALso it isnt bad at long range, and you obviously get a 100 round mag. Plus at least it is a class that helps squads, unlike sniper/assault/ spec ops that are just for individuals.

Jeez, sorry.
Assault is very undervalued when it comes to team help.

I agree with Fletch, but since it cant be done i chose the m95 because when i am on the MEC or China i cant stand their sniper rifles. My second choice (if i can ever get to it) would be the Medic.

You know I would want to see bloodspatter, when shooting people, atleast with the sniper, cause then I can finally and clearly see wheater I hit them or not, it's annoying now.

You can see when you shoot some, because in the middle of the cross-hairs, a cross appears when you get a hit.

Also when you hit someone, a puff of dust comes up, just like the 'ol Westerns.

1: Anti-Armor (Done)
2: Special-Ops

The dao-12 is really a awesome gun, i was playing in a server and i got a killing spree of 6 people with the gun without dying. Its really good at close range, but if your at a long distance, your pretty much stuck using the pistol, (whice i use alot, i accually perfer the pistol than the mp5 at longer distances)

if you like to use anti-tank alot, then get the dao-12 (also known as the Striker Shotgun)

I unlocked the G3, which I'm truly glad I did. It's a really great weapon, which does tremendous amount of damage and has an acceptable accuracy.
The only shame is that you lose the grenade launcher though (which is pretty useful at some situations).

I think I’ll go for the Anti-tank shotgun class next time perhaps.

i think i made a mistake unlocking the .50cal it's cool and all, but a better gun for another class might make me play something else.

it would be nice if there were more weapon unlocks, maybe a choice of 2 different guns you can unlock per class or something? like maybe an XM-8 or something like that

Yeah, I unlocked the G36c, because I play mostly Spec Ops. I haven't got to really try it yet, but from the time I was messing around with it, it seems pretty good. I think i'll go for either the Anti-Tank shotgun or the Engineer one next time.

Anti-Tank shotgun isn't that really effective for practical use. The only maps which it shines in is Strike at Kankard, but such is the life of an anti-tank.
