So many choises and close to same price?
im helping a friend who want to but a 8800GTS.. he wants to use tiger direct but there is like 4 or more diffrent brands all withing a $20 range. some are "superclocked" some look better than others.. how do I know what one to recomend?

Thanks

Id say Connect3D if you can, best choice imo. Never had a problem with them, and their customer service is amazing.

evga has lifetime warranty that isnt broken should you overclock/remove cooling fan, comes pre overclocked, is cheaper, and evga has a trade back system that allows you to trade up to a better video card within a 90 day window at the full price you payed for it

Check out newegg.com. I think your friend will be quite surprised. ;)

yes i recommend newegg over tigerdirect 100%. newegg will have many deals and combo's for computer hardware. i rarely see any good deals on tigerdirect.

Get their newsletter. :D

Seriously though, why get an 8800 now? Why not wait until there are actually games that take advantage of its tech? The price will be lower and you will likely get a more powerful card for the same price? At least wait until Crysis drops!!!

8800s don't actually cost that much. $300 for the ~300MB version.

I have to recommend XFX. XFX is a great company with great support.

Because they're getting fairly cheap and a single 8800 beats two 7950s in SLI.

EVGA, have a 7800 gtx for last couple of years and haven't had one problem.
