Desided to make a poll for it, hope the "Yay" topic starter wont kill me :p

I will most likely play as a member of the Malkavian clan first, I love the idea of an insane vampire, Brujah sound good too though.. (Can a mod please edit the poll, I put Brujah in wrong)

who are the be right back jah? Are they an ebonics speaking clan :)

Malkavian

As said in my post "Can a mod please edit the podd, I put brujah in wrong" >_>

So shush

Malkavian Clan

A Malkavain sire will pass along more then his blood to his childe-he will pass along his insanity. Every member of this clan is infliected with madness, which provides them with surprising and sometimes disturbing "insights". A Malkavian's "Inner voice" may tell him someone's true intent-but cant also be misleading or even completely wrong.

Tremere Clan

The Tremere Clan is the least trusted of the Camarilla clans. Preactitioners and creators of the blood magic called Thaumaturgy, the Tremere are enshrouded in mystery and their political structure is based on the acquisition of power. To some Kindred, the Tremere are campires only because they stole the curse from the clans. The Tremere are never to be trusted.

Toreador Clan

Artists and visionaries, the members of the Toreador Clan tend to gravitate toward high society. Due to their affinity for beauty, they have a great connection to the mortal world through arts and enteratinment. To the Toreador vampires, mortals are more then prey, they're adoring fans.

Nosferatu Clan

Among all the kindred, the Nosferatu are the most hideous to behold. The Embrace twists and deforms their physical appearance creating abominations to the eyes of men. As a result of their curse, these outcasts have perfected the ability to blend into the shaddows. With these skills, the Nosgeratu are masters of espionage and information gathering.

Brujah Clan

To the rest of their dark breathren, the Brujah are a clan of violent brutes and mindless street thugs, a reputation that is far from accurate. They've been known to tangle but they a proud clan who fight for change and freedom in life and in death. Never without a cause, Brujahs fight with great passion and put their combat abilities to use whenever they're needed.

Gengrel Clan

Nomads. Loners. Introverts. These are the triats of the animalistic Gengrel Clan. A longely existence awaits the childe of this loose-knit clan who spurns the trapping of civilization and prefers to roam the wilds in solitude. These rugged individuelists have an uncanny connection with the Beast Within and some even possess shapeshifting abilities.

Ventrue Clan

Ventrue are the nobles of the undead. Th the dark ages, the Ventrue were culled from kings, queens, knights and conquerors. Now, they are resprensented by the power brokers and exccutives of various Fortune 500 compaies. Ventrue gather influence and prestige among both mortal and undead society to help them maintain the Masquerade and bolster their posistions through favors and support from the other clans. Ventrue are the aristocracy of the Kindred and they wholeheartedly support the Traditions.

Though the Ventrue seem interesting too...A boost of money at any one time in the game isn't wrong :)

Well, I'll probarly play them the second time through then.

Gengrel clan sound kinda cool, But I dont get that they are much, animal like vampires that might be able to shapeshift into say, a big werewolf like thing and attack people? Who knows..

Which brings me to another question, will there be werewolfs in the game? I seem to recall hearing that somewhere, but I can't remember where :(

I guess they will just be an npc, friendly or not..

Oh my.. would'nt it be cool if someone moded in playable werewolves? They could have them human most of the time, and a charge bar or something for them to change into wolf form (as it would be crummy that you can only use them during full moon).

Or maybe an expansion, complete with missions? :E

And yeah, I'm fairly certain that we will see mods with werewolves, especially as Bloodlines will be rather mod friendly (IIRC).

Ventrue or Brujah, depending on their stats and stuff.

I've seen screens of a big wolf, so I suppose those gengrel buggers can shapeshift into one. Not exactly the same as a werewolf, but it's something.

The tail looks awfull... Anyways thats just a wolf by the looks of it, best werewolves i have seen are the ones in Van Hellsing, and the best transformation (Ripping off the skin is just so awsome) But that screenshot has a cool picture of the Nos clan vamp.. at least I think its that clan.

Yeah, that tail makes Varg cry :(
The wolf in the screenshot looks supernatural to me, aren't normal wolves a bit smaller? I could be wrong though.

And I haven't seen Van Helsing yet, I must go and rent it so I can do something else then nod and pretend I understand what you're saying ;)

The Wolves in Van hellsing are big bastards with alot of teeth, and when they transform, they rip there skin off themselves, then the bones crack and stuff (sounds real sick) as they grow, as they grow fur at the same time. The vampires in it are pretty good as well, its not the best film ever, but its worth a rent to watch.

Oooh, I like the sound of that :E

Well, let's cross our fingers for a werewolf expansion pack and some werewolf npc's then, eh? :)

Well... since I now have the list... probably toreadorl... beacause the name sounds cool :p

As a fan of the more classical portrayal of vampires I'll have to either start as a Toreador (seductive artist-type) or a Ventrue (rich aristocrat)... probably the former, first.

I'll play though with each clan. I'll probably start with whichever one I'm LARPing at the time. Right now I'm a Gangrel.

As as for the werewolf question, the Protean discipline allows the user to transform into a wolf or a bat, but not a werewolf. Werewolves exist in the World of Darkness apart from Vampires. Other creatures include changelings (fairies), mummies, mages (enlightened mortals), hunters (also mortals), and wraiths (ghosts).

Qhartb I have no idea what your going on about, but werewolves are cool so lets have them in the game.

Hehe.

So Qhartb, what is this world of darkness? And I like the sound of turning into a wolf :)
*Varg puts down Gengrel as clan number three to play once the game comes out.

The World of Darkness is the darker version of this world that the horror-themed White Wolf RPGs take place in. So this game takes place in the World of Darkness.

The thing I said about Werewolves is that they exist in the World of Darkness (and so may be in the game), but that they are seperate creatures from Vampires, so a Vampire can't turn into a Werewolf.

There is, however a power call Protean that a Vampire can be used to turn you into a wolf or bat, but you'd then be in the wolf-form of your Vampire, which is a different thing than turning into a werewolf.

We allready knew there was a diffenece between vampires and werewolves, to shapeshifters who only turn into wolves. Thats why I said add in werewolves, not "Vampires who turn into werewolves" :p

What happans to a vampire who gets biten I wonder...

Yeees, that would be interesting. Maybe Vampires are immune somehow?

I've not looked into the Werewolf game, but from what I can gather quickly, werewolves in the World of Darkness are not infectous. Those who will be werewolves are born with the curse (usually, but not always born human) and usually develop their powers at puberty.

I don't know as much about werewolves as I do about Vamps, though.

Of course, White Wolf may let Troika take liberties the universe.

Interesting. So, is this curse random or does one actually have to incur it somehow?

Nosferatu Female. If you think your seen the most ugliest girl, think again

That I don't know. Like I said, I don't know much about Werewolves. It seems like the offspring of werewolves are, of course, werewolves. There may be other ways to be born a werewolf, but I don't know them.

In a preview i read ages ago it seems that when you use the Malkavian you get an entirely different line of questioning/action avaliable to you to play with and it is very, very cool.

I want to play as a Malkavian, though it may mean that your expereinces are different to other peoples when we discuss the game after it's release. Still it certainly increases the replayability tenfold (or at least twofold ;) )

Aye.

Sounds like you get different dialoge options :)

EDIT: http://www.voiceofmadness.com/index.php?advantage
'tis a nice read.

You do, also (Its not that great but it does add to the goodness) you get a crazy like font with the text, just a small but cool detail that shows they have taken there time with this game.

Yeah, it's small things like that that really make a game great, and they also add to the immersion a lot :)

Gotta' be Malkavians. I hope to god in one of the side-quests you get put in an insane asylum.

I can't decide! They all sound very interesting. I picked the Malkavian for the poll because they have the crazies :p.
