Do you think i should build a new server wit ha 1.6 ghz duron, 256 mb pc2100, 40 gig hdd, biostar mobo, gf4 mx for $200, or buy a sapphire radeon 9800 pro for far cry, hl2, and doom 3 pwnage for $212? :afro: :sniper: :smoking:

Could you not just have added it onto the end of that?

Your CPU will bottleneck the 9800 pro, get a 9600 pro/XT instead

Edit - whoops didn't realise your actual specs are in your sig, get the 9800 pro if you can really afford to, but stick with your 9600 if you can wait for the next generation of gfx cards

Murray, lol how would a 2600+ bottleneck a radeon 9800 pro? Well, i guess that's why you edited it. Also, i didnt add it onto that because nobody has posted on it in 2 days, who would have looked?

so, okay, don't go with biostar. me and a couple people have had issues with them. and they just look cheap. meh. if you want something that looks similar and has better reliability(at least in my experience... of course can't speak for other people) go with MSI. but eh well whatever.

edit: maybe he meant the bottleneck effect with the 1.6 ghz duron processor and not the athlon 2600?
