What do you think about incest?

I was wondering, because my (religion) teacher proposed that if for some reason the catholic churched allowed gay marriage, or passing a law- "the marriage of any two consenting adults" as I said, she believed that it would not stop there and it would get "out of hand".
She proposed that incestious marriages would arrise, and people would do things like, "having children simply so they can marry them when they turn into adults."

Now, I am not going to lie, I think incest is kinda weird, but you know, if two adults love each other, Then whatever, you love who you love.

I like to be open minded, however, I can't deny the fact that the idea of raising a child to later marry in life is creepy as hell, and wrong.

I guess if I had one thing to say about an incestious relationship is I really don't care, but they should not be allowed to interbreed

So what do you all think about incest?

Define "right". By all logic and understanding, incest is "bad". What virtues you follow makes the whole thing very subjective, so I like to keep things logical and according to the law, which is usually a consensus of the majority.

Incest, if I'm going to understand this correctly, leads to genetic disorders. And I think we can all agree no one wants to be genetically disordered. Ergo, bad.

By law, 18 constitutes a person an adult (in the United States). Until then, sex between an adult and a child is considered rape (where the child has no choice but to submit to the older, stronger, probably male dominant rule). If the situation arises where two adult family members **** each other, then they should probably keep that shit to themselves. If you open the law to accept it, you'll have all sorts of brothers/fathers dominating their sisters/mothers into sex. When the law forbids it (and is culturally shunned), you limit the cases to either a consensual and private relationship or one sibling dominating the other, in which case the authorities can intervene.

Inbreeding means the progeny of such relationships are far more likely to either abort, be stillborn, or have genetic abnormalities.

I disagree. If inbreeding can cause deformed children, that's essentially harming others. You are creating a life that will be suffering more than a normal person should. Thus it crosses a major line in a moral sense.
