What do you think about this comp...

Well so far this is what I've been able to come up with. It's in my wishlist because it's kinda out of my price range.


I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Drop the socket 940 for socket 754 A64 3000+-3400+ and put a X800pro or 6800GT on there instead.

You could wait for Socket 939 for dual channel memory or keep socket940 (dual core CPUs in 2k5 on socket 940, nice upgrade there).

For gaming any platform with a A64 core would rock with a X800 or 6800 gfx card.
Socket really isn't an issue. nForce3 250 chipset is an awesome choice though (for Socket 754 or 939).

Price's will be down by the end of summer.

Hmmm...New Egg doen't have any of the "approved" RAM that has been tested for your motherboard.

that ram wouldent work. you need registered ram, not unbuffered. and if youre going to spend 2k on a comp, you might as well get a gig of ram. definatly drop the cpu though, get an a64
