I think the CS:S team is working like crazy tring to fix the bugs. I bet HL2 is done and they're waiting on the CS:S team to fix all the bugs and then announce HL2 is gold and start pre-loading.

- HL/2 pre-load will begin tomorrow. It was ready yesterday, but we decided to use the bandwidth to get out the VST first since I get pelted with zillions of questions from people asking how their PC will run Half-Life 2.

Here's what I'd vote for if you had the option:

5. Valve are working hard on the finishing touches to Half Life 2 working 18 hour days in the final stretch of development.

The Half Life 2 pre-load is sat on the steam servers complete (according to Gabe, but then he's only the CEO, so maybe he's wrong), which nullify's option 2.

Meh. I have no explanation as to why Valve didn't pre-load, and to be honest it worries me that they can't keep a simple date. That said, most of you in here are doing far too much bitching and need to calm down.

Oh yeah, lets hope we don't get anymore binks also. :|

It's amazing some people will still say Valve are trying to get the preload ready EVEN THOUGH they are presented with information from Valves CEO that the preload was ready days ago.

I just find it really amazing almost....disturbing.
