When I first heard about this on the news a couple of years ago , I was very intrigued.My beliefs forbid me from thinking that the paranormal had anything to do with this mysterious disappearance so I was wondering what do you guys think.What could be the most possible , scientific , explanation ?

Well KaZaA, like other peer-2-peer software networks sort of fell to the way-side when torrents became popular. Torrents are more reliable (rarely will you get a fake, unless you are stupid) and have less random CP.

One of the explanations on wiki sounds the most obvious. They got caught on a sandtrap and when they got out to push it, it became unstuck and floated off. Unfortunately it'd have to be damn strong wind for them not to be able to catch up to it by simply swimming.
