More of a preview, I think. They won't review it before they've previewed it.

I don't think we've seen much of the AI, AI is supposed to be able to go wherever you can go, if it wants to get somewhere, it'll find a way. We've have not even seen the AI jump or crouch. The AI is probably a lot better than in the video's (the AI can also fire while moving which has not been shown in the video's)

The physics are already has good as Valve claimed, but the question is, will they be implemented good into the gameplay or just be a useless gadget like in Far Cry?

And I'm not telling when I think Valve is gonna release it, afraid that I'll jinx it

If you read it....it says that they were flown out to America and visited Valve.....this is more than just a few optimistic words at the end of the mag. I think on April 29th we'll definitely be getting more info.

Heh. PCGamer has always been the better PC mag, and it's the best selling one, so why would Valve give such a huge exclusive to PCZone, when they did the proper first preview of HL2 in PCGamer? hmm?

Let's hope so, but I'm saving just that little bit of excitement for the preparation of dissapointment. Promises like this have been made in the past by game magazines/companies, and on deliverence, they're just recycled information.

All I'm saying is that these guarantees are sometimes just BS, and by brand new screenshots they could mean screenshots that are brand new to the magazine, not the general public (ie. the shot with the resistance fighters in the roaded tunnel). It's all in the wording.

PC Gamer UK has promised a preview as well (and is released before Zone).....but according to PC Zone, no other mag is allowed to reveal the info before them.....which suggests the stuff is "never before seen". Also....the fact that the preview is 10 pages (the same length as the original preview last year) suggests that there's going to be a lot to talk about! I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I got that PC Gamer a few days ago, it's information we already know and there are no new screenshots. However, they mention that the next issue will have the new information and shots, but it comes out after Zone... so we'll see.

I wouldn't take PC Zones "next issue" pages very seriously.. They have many times before advertised reviews of big games, but then let down their readers by saying it was "out of our control delay".

Um...Coax, I think we've already established that magazines often let readers down with their "next issue" pages....but they only usually promise a review or preview or article with very vague detail. PC Zone has guarunteed new info next issue, they've even put an article on their site. I don't think they would have gone to so much effort unless they were sure.

XJR...apparently the new issue of PC Gamer UK doesn't have any new info or screens (some ppl subscribe and got it early, confirming this). Also, no other UK mag is allowed to release the stuff before Zone apparently....

Gordon will start in an underground prison in San Francisco (Alcatraz prison); I heard the prison will be 120 Meters below the earth surface, others say the prison is under the Sea. After completing this level Gordon will travel to the well-known Alien city (City17) where he will be given some choices by his Father or creator the G-man (No ones certain How is the G-man is related to Gordon, many rumours say that he is Gordon’s father but hopefully we will know in the future).

This is so far the story. What’s going to happen in C17 is classified by valve but the future is not far.
