My video card, http://www.chaintechusa.com/tw/eng/product_spec.asp?MPSNo=14&PISNo=141, is a bit dated (I got it last year for $68) but would it be worth it to upgrade?

It has 128mb of ram. I'm pretty short on cash right now but I want at least a 9800 card.

what do you think?

128mb or not, u need to upgrade. if u dont have alotta cash get a 9600 or 9700. theyre both nearly as good as a 9800 and itll run hl2 at max without a hitch.

the first ones ur better bet. 256mb is great for ur games. however the second one runs at faster clock speeds. if u can, push it a little with the cash and get the one i mentioned, its got 256 plus the clockspeed plus xt

btw, I'm trying to limit how much I spend because I've really only got $60 right now and no money to buy HL2.

I would recommend this card.
Good brand and it is a 9600XT which has high clock and memory speeds.
A 9600 is not as good, it is not even a 9600 pro. Memory is a non-issue.
