Yeah, question for all ya out there. In the video settings on Half-Life 2, what do those two "A" words mean and what do they do? They have settings like 2X, 4X, etc. Just wondering what they mean and what they do. Thanks.:dozey:

Anti Aliasing (sp?)

I'm not a techie in regards to AA but using it means less jagged edged graphics etc.

What GFX card do you have?

Its the nVID. 6800 Ultra...Everything is recommended for high and i was just wondering if those two things if increased would make it better, or just slow down my game or sumthin...

It can handle it... and definately worth it :D

Best part is is that its on my laptop :) But another question...what is the Pentium M equivilent to? And my laptop is supposed to run at 2.0 Ghz, but i heard that its actually like equivilent to a desktop computers 2.4 Ghz processor? Anyone heard of this?

How do you have a 6800 ultra in a laptop?

Alienware?

I wish it was alienware! Its a Dell actually. I just customized it when i ordered it. Its the new XPS Gen 2. It f-ing rad.

So no one knows what the deal is with the processor question i asked?

M means Mobile I think. Anyways, I think it means that you've got a Centrino Pentium processor in your laptop (Processors designed for maximum performance with a minimum of energy).

yeah...i read up on my laptop and found out that it performed better at Halflife 2 than almost all other laptops. Thanks for clearing that up though.
