... Speedball Arena? It was being developed by "The Bitmap Brothers". I just remembered about 15 minutes ago that it was supposed to be released by Christmas 2002, then it slipped to Q1 of 2003... but I read that in 2002 and I haven't heard anything about it since then.

I loved the original Speedball games and Q3/UT mods with similar concepts. I would like to play a professional, next-gen, 3D Speedball sequel... but it looks like Speedball Arena is vaporware. Damn.

What other games have you guys been looking forward to that just disappeared without any notice (other than HL2 and DNF)?

i think it got canned after their world war II game flopped (can't remember the name). anyway, i think there wasn't much of a market for it so that might've been another factor. although don't quote me on that, i'm still unsure as to whether it got canned or is just on ice.
