what games you want to make then a movie?

What games you want to make then a movie?apart Half life of course
(I heard maybe will make a movie of Half life,but say they dont find a guionist or director or company....I dont remenber)

to me:
Devil May cry
Grand Theft Auto
Halo
and others that maybe will be
like warcraft(but I think no because is like The Lords Of The Rings)
 
Well I definitely could see the Age Series by Ensemble Studios be made into movies. Hard to tell who the actors would be. Age of Conquerors alone could be made into a mini-series by HBO.
 
Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Deus Ex, Soldier of Fortune.
 
Star Craft, Red Alert, Wing Commander (I know its already been done but this time make it good).
 
I think driver 3 are making a short film, looks pritty good 2 they are releasing parts at a time i think.

agreed...games have something that films can never have, and no film to date has ever had it. a special something that sets it apart. no more movie tie ins thank you.

Our site is going to have a very cool look to it, I love what I have seen so far. I won't say much about though, as it would ruin the surprise :)
 
i am surprised nobody has mentioned Diablo and Diablo2... if done right, it can turn out to be a sweet movie.. but of course any of these games turned movies, done right can be classics i guess..

its all about doing it right.. :)

Uh.... don't you think that a lot of games already resemble existing movies? I mean, what's the point of making a Max Payne game if there are already a bunch of film noir and action movies that it borrowed from? Or StarCraft when there are already so many sci-fi action movies?
I think that really good games that 'deserve' movies are ones that take advantage of being a computer game medium and would stand better as a game anyway.
Then I guess there are some games with good ideas that didn't work out as a game but could as a movie... um... can't think of any right now..

I wouldnt mind seeing some of these games turning into movies, but tombraider why?! that sucked ( well supposivly i wouldnt be seen watching it :P) and final fantasy which was well a o..k ish.

FF7 movie!! I hope that works out well.. that will/would be amazing depending if they scrap the movie or not
 
Old thread...but I just finished Metal Gear Solid 1 again...and I'm about to start 2 for the 3rd time.

These two games are almost already movies anyways. The cutscenes are very movie-like in terms of camera position, movement and such. I think if any games should be made into movies it's these two.
 
Star Craft, Rainbiw Six, HALFLIFE (maybe CS), DIII, Tribes, BFV, KOTOR, maybe Planetside.
