Nightwish
Dragonforce
Sonata Arctica

I like Power metal bands especially Power metal and Melodic bands. Sonata Arctica is perfect for that. Just discovered them about 2 weeks ago, and I can't believe I missed something like that. I ordered all their albums.

Hot Water Music
Squarepusher
Isis
Red Sparowes
Hot Chip
Mistress

The Blood Arm
The Maccabees
The Horrors
Archie Bronson Outfit
Davy Graham
Jeff Buckley
The Sunshine Underground

I like, by and large, indierock/indie/artrock/garagerock/new wave/nu-rave(HATE that term but hey) groups, and ALWAYS looking for new stuff...

I loathe metal in almost all it's forms :p along with a lot of ambient electronic stuff.

Quite the opposite to most members here - but hey, each to their own...

The aggrolites
the slackers
the clash
the jam
a couple of better than ezra singles I found
no doubt
too short notice <3
operation ivy/ rancid
dance hall crashers
green day right now, to see if I still like them
red hot chilli peppers (not so much)
mostly compilation albums, though.

I'm mostly into ska and/or punk, but I really like some rock and occasionally some metal... I really hate pop and club music, though. Techno... *quiver*

The Killers
Snow Patrol
The Kooks
Coldplay
My Chemical Romance
Maroon5

I've been in an indie/rocky-esque mood recently.

None of those bands are indie mate. They're pop.

Not saying they're bad though. Although MCR are GASH, as are Maroon 5... Coldplay have gone downhillll

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Anyway, there hasn't really been one band I've been listening to mainly lately. I guess Patti Smith and Rufus Wainwright get the most plays on my Itunes though.

Aphex Twin
Venetian Snares
Quinoline Yellow
Autechre
Squarepusher
Neil Voss

Same shit I've been listening to for the last few years. I have, however, developed a (most probably unhealthy) addiction to Autechre. Probably because I've bought a few more releases from them recently. It astonishes me how they can sound so different with every album/EP and still carry their distinct stamp of craftmanship.

I bought Amber recently. Not listened to it yet, but it's on the pile of CD's next to my computer.

I've also been listening to alot of Send More Paramedics, who I think you might like, VictimofScience, as theres some real good 80's crossover going on in that shit. I've finally got around to buying their CD's so I can now see them live again (twice now) and actually know the songs properly.

opeth
led zeppelin
autechre
the specials
carbon based lifeforms
royksopp
the knife
chris moss acid

That's often considered to be their ambient album. There are quite a few parts of it that really aren't, but on the whole it's a far softer and warmer album than any of their other releases. Not as tinny and cold as Incunabula, nowhere near as industrial/mechanical as Tri Repetae. It basically serves to fill any doubt that exists regarding their ability for melody and emotion (namely "Slip").

The Hot Puppies
Boards of Canada
The Smiths
Aaliyah
David Bowie

Bush
Pearl Jam
Nirvana
Stone Temple Pilots
Toadies
Beck

those are the bands I am listening to in my car.

EDIT: crap, I started listening to creed for the first time since like..1996.

The band is actually good, they have a good sound, but damnit I hate their message and their singer. Why did they have to be a stupid religious band? They could have been great as a secular post-grunge band.

EDIT: woah, rediscovered Puddle of Mud. I've always loved this band but never knew it! thank you pandora.com.
