Don't quote me on this as I'm really not sure, but I think it slowed down the forums too much to search through the user database to find that information. But I could be wrong.

Correct...

It has gone steady now so it might be the case that it'll be ok to put it back on. The problem we were having was that we were having the usual amount of visitors one minute, then double, normal, double, normal and we just kept switching it off.

273 Users Online (78 members and 195 guests) right now btw.

when you consider that the server has to go through just under 40,000 database records and check if their last activity was within 5 minutes ago its no suprise that it will make the database slow, it gets even worse with the birthday feature
