Have you looked inside the rusty cars outside? I found a battery in one of those.

I found mine under a bathtub. I was just going around randomly shooting all the stuff with the physgun .

I've never seen this place though I played through the whole game. Actually a friend of mine told me about some batteries, as he didn't understand how to activate the gate ... and I was like "what? what battery? what gate?"

I turned out that the physical engine is so realistic, that I placed some barriers against the wall in order to make a spring board, then I took the car accelerated, and jumped over that gate!!!!!!!

1 in the room already in place, one on the windmill (use grav gun to get it, not shotgun, and one in rusty car bonet, the bonet looks closed but you will notice it is bent up at one side and you can clearly see it. If you can't see it you are at the wrong car.

kinda cool, the batteries spawn in different places. Mine were in the room and under the bathtub.

Huh, mine were in the car and on the windmill, both times.
Going to check the guide to see what's "official".
EDIT: The guide lists all the locations. I guess they are all there, we just missed them.

Wow almost like me. I put two metal plates on the red busted up car in front of the gate, backed up several meters, accelerated then pressed ctrl and i jumped over the gate and flipped in the air 3!!!!! times and then landed perfectly. It was freaking crazy!@!!!!!!

this part puzzled me. now seeing the picture i see i needed to find the battery.

what i did. there was hole in the gate you could fit thru. so i shot the buggy over the gate with the grav gun and walked thru the hole and drove off

Okay, found it.

When I played it through the first time, I couldn't get the car through a big energysheild, so I just ran from that point.
