What HL2 Product to buy?

im weary about buying games through steam.

i wanted to get retail hl2, but i saw that the retail collectors package does not come with DODS.

i want hl2 css and dods, what package can i buy?

i want to aviode steam purchase,

is DODS free? can i download it or is it purchase?

You'll have to get a steam package to get what you want as far as we know.

I looks like Dod:s won't be free with the normal retail.
